The “Back Covers” series also refers to Heinz Von Foerster. Indeed, a model of architecture is chosen, then its contours are followed using a black sewing thread. Features formed by the wire (wich is attached to the sheet) are straight, clean, accurate, and draw the windows, gates, arches and other architectural elements of the chosen building. Once I decide to stop the process, the drawing is returned: the rear construction is unveiled (Back Cover). This is the only thing important. Nodes, errors, erasures, radically different paths taken by the wire to replicate across the architecture, all these caused accidents reveal to us another architecture, other lines, other curves; buildings seem emaciated, remnants of a past civilization. In this series, there is no real choice of representation, the place is intentionally left at random: the “Back Cover” is revealed once the drawing is finished: the choice of non-choice .
